Let’s Make Friends
In the third episode of Migi & Dali, we are given a glimpse into the past before diving into the present timeline. The Sonoyama family suggests that Hitori, the protagonist, socialize with a group of kids. Migi and Dali, the main characters, see this as an opportunity to track down the killer of their mother. They remember the house where their mother was murdered, as they had doodled there and still recall the designs on the walls.
With the intention of identifying the murderer’s home, Migi and Dali disguise themselves as one boy named Hitori and decide to befriend other boys. However, these boys turn out to be rather mean and refuse to befriend them. All except for Akiyama, who develops a soft spot for Hitori and eventually accepts his friendship request.
As Hitori becomes friends with Akiyama, he asks if he can visit Akiyama’s home. Akiyama graciously agrees, and while one of the twins stays with Akiyama to keep him company, the other investigates the house to determine if it is the one where their mother was murdered. Unfortunately, it is not the right house, and they have to move on.
Next, they visit Maruta’s home, taking cherry pie with them. They apply the same method to investigate whether their mother was murdered in Maruta’s home. Dali takes this opportunity to get even with Maruta for mistreating Migi in the past. However, once again, they do not find the clues they are looking for, and they are forced to leave.
The Episode Review
Episode 3 of Migi & Dali expands upon the cliffhanger from the previous episode. The murder of their mother is finally revealed, and the twins have been on a mission to find the killer and seek revenge. As the story progresses, the stakes have been raised, as we now understand Migi and Dali’s ultimate goal.
This episode, like the previous ones, is incredibly fascinating and enjoyable to watch. The storyline keeps the viewers engaged, and the mystery surrounding their mother’s murder adds an element of suspense. The character development is also commendable, particularly with Akiyama showing kindness towards Hitori despite the initial rejection from the other boys.
